The agency currently has 90 employees, many of whom provide support to individuals in a residential setting at our eight group homes located in the Springfield area. Alvord-Taylor provides a wonderful opportunity to gain skills that can help individuals to succeed in social service. Training may include behavioral management, medication administration, money management, data entry, and CPR/First Aid.

DIRECT  SUPPORT  PROFESSIONAL
Direct support professionals provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities to allow them to reach their highest possible levels of independence and will promote an environment where teaching occurs at all times.  Staff assists our clients in developing fun and rewarding life opportunities and helps them to build meaningful relationships within their communities.

PROGRAM  MANAGER
The Program Manager is responsible for the overall operation of assigned residential site(s). This position is responsible for the provision of appropriate programs and services for assigned residents. S/he will coordinate the development and monitor the implementation of Individual Support Plans as determined by Individual Support Plan Teams in accordance with the philosophies of client choice, normalization, and least restrictive environment. The Program Manager is responsible for the efficient management of all resources assigned to her/his site(s).

ASSISTANT  MANAGER
The Assistant Manager works within the 24-Hour Residential Program and is responsible for ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents. This position assumes a leadership role for residents by promoting and assuring that medical and other concerns are addressed in a timely manner. The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with coordination of staff, implementation of client programs, and the operation of the site. The Assistant Manager also acts as a liaison between the Direct Support Professional and the Program Manager.

ADVOCATE
The Independent Living Program (ILP) at Alvord-Taylor operates within the company's mission of "assisting people with disabilities to live quality lives in their community". The ILP staff works cooperatively with adults living independently - determining and addressing individual needs and abilities while respecting and accommodating a variety of lifestyles. The ILP Program Manager supervises the advocates.The Advocate assists each client in maintaining their health, safety and highest possible quality of life and also serves as a liaison between each client and the available services of the community. The ILP staff members are also available for crisis support, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
